RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Babies and Kids is committed to selling only the highest quality baby and toddler products. If an item is faulty we will provide a refund. We are also happy to offer an exchange for an item that turns out to be the wrong fit  -- if the correct size or an appropriate alternative is not available we will offer a store credit. However, we cannot accept returns if you simply change your mind. If you would like to return an item please contact us first during business hours on: 03 9689 9221 or by email info@babies@kids.com.au. Non-faulty items returned for exhchange or store credit must be returned to us within fourteen days from the date of purchase.  Any item being returned must be unused or unworn and in its original packaging and with any original tags attached. With the exception of faulty items, the cost of returning an item and having the replacement mailed or couriered out is the customer's responsibility. 

When returning items we recommend you use registered post as we are not responsible for items mailed by you that get lost in transit.

If you change your mind after submitting an order please contact us as soon as possible by phone (1300 853 096) or email: info@babiesandkids.com.au so we can cancel your order. If you change your mind after the order has been dispatched the returns and exchanges policy above applies.

We are more than happy to provide detailed information (including measurements) about any item you are interested in purchasing to avoid the risk of an item not fitting. OUT OF STOCK/ BACK-ORDERED ITEMS

While we make every effort to ensure our website clearly displays when a product is out-of-stock or on back-order, there are circumstances when it may be impossible for this to occur immediately (for example, if a number of people order the same product at the same time). If you order a product that is out of stock we will provide you with three options:

  • A full refund for the cost of the back-ordered or out-of-stock product
  • Exchange for a similar item (if the similar item is more expensive you will need to pay the difference between this item and the item you originally ordered)
  • The back-ordered item will be mailed to you when it arrives. If you have ordered more than one item, the in-stock items will be mailed to you and will attract the usual shipping charges (see below). The out-of-stock item will be mailed to you at our expense when it arrives.

PAYMENT

There are four options for paying for your goods when you are checking out your shopping cart.

PayPal: If you have a PayPal account simply tick the PayPal option when asked how you want to pay for the goods you have ordered. You will be directed straight to PayPal's secure site to complete your payment.

Credit Card: We accept Mastercard and Visa. Our credit card facility is provided through SecurePay, a respected payment gateway used by many Australian state governments, banks, telcos and insurance companies.  We have an SSL certificate which means your personal details, including credit card details, are encrypted so they can't be accessed by unauthorised third parties. We do not have access to your credit card details and no card details are stored on our system. If you order by phone and email and want to pay by credit card we will need to manually enter your credit card number on your behalf but your payment will be processed through SecurePay, as discussed above.

Cheque or Money Order: We are more than happy to accept your cheque or money order for payment. Send your payment to: Babies and Kids, PO Box 639, Yarraville VIC 3013. But don't forget to include a note with your order number so we can match your cheque against your order.

If you are paying by a personal or business cheque we will be unable to ship your goods until the cheque has cleared. If we don't receive your cheque within 14 days we will assume that you have cancelled your order.

Direct Deposit: You can also pay by depositing the amount owed into Babies and Kids bank account. The BSB and Account numbers are provided during the checkout process. We will be unable to ship your goods until the money has appeared in our account. However, if you transfer the money using online banking you can speed up your order by emailing us a copy of your deposit receipt or letting us know you have made the deposit so we can look out for it . GIFT WRAPPING

Gift wrapping is free for all purchases from Babies and Kids — our philosophy is gift wrapping is free in most 'bricks and mortar' stores so why should online stores be any different. If you have purchased multiple items and selected gift-wrapping for more than one  please send us an email or calll us to let us know if you want the items gift wrapped separately or together. We will contact you to discuss what message you  would like written on the  gift card. Alternatively you can email us your preferred message: info@babiesandkids.com.au

HAMPER SERVICE

If you want to put together a hamper for a new baby, a birthday or other special occasion please call us on 1300 853 096 to discuss what you would like included and how you would like it presented. If you are stuck for ideas we can help you put together a hamper that suits your budget.

HOW TO ORDER

There are a number of ways you can order through the Babies and Kids store:

Online: When you find an item you would like to buy select the colour and size you would like (if applicable) and the quantity and then click the 'Add To Cart' button. The items you select will appear in the 'My Cart' box in the top right-hand side of our website. You can then click on 'continue shopping' if you would like to add more items. When you are done simply click on 'proceed to checkout' where you will be guided through the checkout process.

Email, fax and phone: If you love shopping online but are not so keen on ordering online that's no problem. Simply send us a fax or email or call us and tell us which items you would like to order. We will collect your delivery address and discuss payment options with you, which include credit card, EFT, PayPal and cheque or money order. For your financial safety please do not include your credit card details with an email order as most email systems do not encrypt messages (turn them into gobbeldy gook that only the computer of the intended recipient can decipher) and therefore are not secure enough to guard against criminals intercepting your email to us and obtaining your credit card details. Lay-by

We are more than happy for you to lay-by items (minimum order $50). Please contact us by phone or email to discuss.
